This new design is a nod to that rather familiar old skool symbol you'll have seen daubed on school books and walls back in the day. Of course with the added CC twists! 😃
BUT, there’s more of a story to it than that! The artwork originates much further back and to WW2 where both GI’s and British and European soldiers would paint walls and carve into trenches with the artwork ‘Kilroy was here’ or sometimes ‘Chad’ and we've heard Brits call it 'Slapsy Charlie' too. Sources suggest it first appeared as early as 1937!
It even made it onto the back of the US WW2 National memorial in Washington.
Effectively creating one of the worlds first ever Memes! 😎
